2 Telephone 01473 742424 or contact your travel agentChairman'sWelcomeThis extensive new programme of cruises takes us from early 2012 right through to Spring 2013, and sees our four ships sailing all the world's oceans. With cruises from just two nights right up to an epic 112 night World Voyage, our planning team continues to seek out exciting new destinations whilst retaining the best of the traditional ports so loved by our regular guests.New features during 2012 include: a pre-Christmas Markets cruise when Braemar voyages right into the Baltic Sea, sailing 51 miles up the Guadalquivir river to Seville, return calls to the newly accessible Banjul Harbour in the exotic Gambia, plus three brand new destinations on Eastern Canada's spectacular coastline. In early 2013 Balmoral will circumnavigate the globe on a new World itinerary, whilst Black Watch will sail down Africa's West coast then on around the Indian Ocean. We find that environmental awareness plays an ever greater part in our planning, and all our ships are subject to ongoing programmes to install the latest systems for energy efficiency and waste disposal. Even the itinerary timings themselves have to reflect the new regulations to which the cruise industry must adhere. With the launch of 'Vistas' we have further enhanced the on-board activity programmes and tour options, offering a wonderful range of cultural and special interest themes. Of course the choice remains yours, to select from a wide range of activities or simply to find a quiet corner and relax!Whenever and wherever you are sailing with us, welcome to the family.Fred. Olsen Jnr.ChairmanFeatured on the cover is a statue of the Merlion, emblem of Singapore. With a lion's head and fish body resting on a crest of waves it symbolises the 'Lion City' of legend, while its fish tail represents the city's humble beginnings as a fishing village. On the facing page Boudicca, following the addition of the new gym on deck 10, sailing off the coast of Portugal. On all bookings made up to, and including, 31st August 2011, for cruises departing from 1st January 2012, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has a 'No Fuel Surcharge Guarantee'. This provides reassurance to guests booking 2012/2013 cruises that they are protected from any future fuel surcharges. However, due to continuing uncertainty over the price of oil, the guarantee is only valid for bookings made before the end of August, so we recommend that you book your cruise before that date to benefit.
