So we offer several ways to get to your ship, get on board and into your cabin - then we can start making you feel special!Departing from a UK portYour point of embarkation depends on the cruise: our ships leave from Dover, Southampton, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Greenock or Rosyth. At each of our ports we work constantly to improve the facilities to make boarding as easy and effortless as possible. Dover and Southampton terminals have fast and efficient check-in areas, including departure lounges with seating and cafés where you can relax, and smart washrooms. In most cases, we offer coach connections between the port and local main-line rail stations, or you can use a taxi service if you prefer. If you drive yourself to the terminal, you can book your parking space in advance (no reservation is needed at Newcastle). When you get to the port, our helpful staff will be on hand to make your transfer as smooth as possible. You can fly to either Southampton airport or one of the London airports for Dover, Portsmouth or Southampton departures, and we will provide transfers between the airport and the cruise terminal. Ask at the time of booking for prices and availability of domestic flights. For further details of pre-departure options, including regional flight connections for UK departures, coach transfers and departure port hotels, please see pages 152-155.
